The song describes the massacre at Wounded Knee in 1890, where hundreds of Sioux men, women and children were gunned down by a revengeful 7th Cavalry.

This Land Is My Land, sung by Robert Hart accompanied by Bernie Marsden on acoustic and  electric guitars, is a eulogy to a land that was home to millions of Native Americans. It tells the story from the point of view of a young Sioux girl.

Lakota Prayer is a poignant appeal. The young girl who delivers the prayer is asking for some very simple human rights. Asking to be allowed to be what she can be. It is an appeal that resonates today, as the Native Americans continue to struggle to gain traction in modern America.
